Editorial Standards

This is a personal technology blog. All opinions expressed here are my own and do not reflect the views of my current or former employers.

How I write

I write from personal experience as a software engineer and from independent research. When I cover a technology, product, or company, I aim to:

  • Cite primary sources and link to them directly
  • Distinguish between claims and evidence – I try to be clear about what has been proven, what has been claimed, and what is my opinion
  • Acknowledge uncertainty – if I do not know something or the evidence is incomplete, I say so
  • Update articles when significant new information becomes available, noting the update date

AI assistance

Some articles on this site are written with the assistance of AI tools. When AI assistance is used, it is noted in the article. I review, edit, and verify all content before publishing regardless of how it was drafted.

Affiliations and conflicts

I have no financial relationship with the companies or products discussed on this site unless explicitly disclosed in the article. I do not accept paid sponsorships, affiliate commissions, or free products in exchange for coverage.

If that ever changes for a specific article, it will be disclosed prominently at the top of that article.
